Amaryllis Lemon Sorbet. Prolific, it is pale yellow-ivory with a prominent green throat. The delicate, species-like, 3" flowers are borne atop 13" stems. For an even more spectacular show, plant three bulbs per pot. Harvest bulb size: 16/18 cm. After harvest, the bulb may shrink a bit as it dries: it will plump up again once potted and hydrated.

Once planted in full sun, hippies will take about 5-6 weeks to flower. If you want to delay flowering, plant in a shady spot. After flowering is finished (usually within 2-3 weeks), cut stems close to the bulb, leaving the leaves intact. Lift bulbs in April-May, cut leaves close to bulbs, and store in a warm, dry place.
